Details and programmes from our concerts since 2012

• Enlightenment

  On 31st May 2015 at Hoxton Basement, the Ligeti Quartet performed a programme centred around George Crumb's Black Angels, including a world premiere by Tom Green and a repeat performance of Bill Dougherty's The Aureole Effect, which was written for our first concert back in 2012

• Interference Patterns - Nov 2014

  4 collaborations between composers and film-makers to create joint pieces of 'art'. Neither film nor music taking the lead, creating something that could not have been made any other way. Screened with live performance by Ensemble Matisse on 3rd November 2014 at Kings Place Hall Two

• Sounds of the New - June 2014

  10th June 2014 at The Forge, Camden

  4 new works for piano and percussion by Will Hunt, Francesca Le Lohe, Ji Sun Yang and Kate Whitley performed by Siwan Rhys (piano) and George Barton (percussion)

• Sounds of the New - Nov 2013

  On the 14th of November 2013 the Octandre Ensemble performed new works by Maxim Boon, Sam Messer, Nick Morrish Rarity, Kristoffer To, William Cheshire and Patrick John Jones. This included 5 world premiere comissions from New Dots

  A short film by Patrick Hallett Morley illustrating the essence of collaboration between the composers and musicians was also shown.

• Sounds of the New - May 2013

  On 21st May, the Atea Wind Quintet and Richard Uttley performed pieces by: Michael Cutting, Aaron Holloway-Nahum, Yuko Ohara, Emma-Ruth Richards and Yuko Ohara, including 4 world premieres and a UK premiere.

  The concert also included short discussions with the composers and performers on their collaborations in creating these five new works, giving the audience a unique insight into the working practices of these talented artists. The Forge, Camden was full again for this concert, which Backtrack rated 4 stars

• Sounds of the New - November 2012

  Our launch concert took place on 21st November 2012 at The Forge, Camden to a sold out audience. The programme featured pieces by: William Dougherty, Gonçalo Gato, Steve Hicks, Helgi Ingvarsson, Lloyd Moore and Edward Nesbit and included 3 world premières
