Patrick John Jones

Patrick’s music has been played by The Kreutzer Quartet, Lontano, The Ligeti Quartet, Jane Chapman and The Fidelio Trio. He is currently on the SAM Portfolio Scheme, which will culminate in the creation of a new work to be performed by Ensemble 10/10 next year, conducted by Christian Lindberg. His desire to compose began whilst taking the BA Music at the University of York, during which he composed the music for an audiobook of Roald Dahl’s The Minpins and a string quartet, which was selected for performance by The Kreutzer Quartet. He recently completed the MMus in Composition at King’s College London, under the supervision of Rob Keeley and generously supported by The South Square Trust and The Roger & Sarah Bancroft Clark Charitable Trust. He will begin doctoral study this September in York with Thomas Simaku and Martin Suckling, supported by the Arts & Humanities Research Council
