Meet Chris Wittlinger

We're very excited to welcome Chris Wittlinger to the New Dots team as our new treasurer. We asked him a few quick questions to get to know him a bit

Tell us a bit about your background

I am originally from a small town in Southern Germany and studied Industrial Engineering in Stuttgart. After that I joined a large automotive supplier (yes, cliché came true), got bored after a while and went into management consulting. After doing that for a couple of years, I went to the UK to do my MBA in Cambridge. Now, I am having a lot of fun in London while running a small startup.

Why did you want to join New Dots’ team?

Because I saw friends of mine struggling as artists and musicians after university. New Dots is doing awesome things for emerging talent and their work is much needed. From a personal point of view, I think I am just looking for some cultural diversity in my life 

What role has music played in your life?

I started playing keyboard at age 8 and saxophone at 14 (absolutely love it, unfortunately my talent proved to be only limited) and also infamously sang in the school choir of the boarding school I attended (don’t ask). Music keeps me balanced.

What are you listening to at the moment?

I am pretty inconsistent, regularly going through every genre you can think of.

Anything else you’d like to say?

I am just really excited to work with you guys and get involved in the classical music scene.
